Yellowjackets Beat Wolverines for 4th Straight Win

The Perham boys’ basketball team extended their winning streak to four games to start the season with a 72-35 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek on Tuesday night in Wadena.  Perham made 64.4% (29-45) of their field goal attempts and connected on 50% (9-18) of their 3-point shots.

Micah Thompson (21 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals), Alex Ohm (19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 assists) and Soren Anderson (18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) were all in double figures.  Blaiz Schmidt had a team high 5 assists for the Yellowjackets.

Wadena-Deer Creek shot just 32.5% (13-40) on the night and went 5-for-23 (21.7%) from 3-point range.  Phillip Ross led the Wolverines with 13 points.  Teshome Loer and Isaac Herman added 7 and 6 points, respectively.

Perham has a home game against Paynesville next Tuesday at 7:30pm.

Wadena-Deer Creek (3-2) will play at Pelican Rapids on Thursday night.
