Henning held Sebeka to 7 first half points and 25 points for the game as the Hornets recorded a dominant 83-25 victory over the Trojans in a Park Region Conference boys’ basketball contest on Friday night in Henning.  The Hornets had 23 steals in the game and only had 8 turnovers.

Mason Hammer led the way with a double-double, scoring a game high 26 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.  He also had 5 steals and 3 assists.  Kale Misegades (17 points, 3 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 assists) and Tyson Misegades (17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) joined Hammer in double digits.  Lane Dilly had 8 points, a team high 14 rebounds and 7 steals, and Noah Umland finished with 7 points.

“We weren’t quite sure how the guys would respond after not being in the gym for three days, but we did a nice job defensively for the most part,” said Head Coach Randy Misegades of Henning. “We frequently turned them over which led to some easy buckets. We didn’t shoot the ball especially well against their zone, but we had several guys knock down a few open looks and also did a nice job getting some second opportunities.”

Sebeka was led by Jasper Hosey and Max Lake with 11 and 10 points, respectively.  Hosey completed his double-double by securing 11 rebounds.

Henning (5-0) will hit the road Tuesday for a game against Lake Park-Audubon.

Sebeka (0-5) will host New York Mills on Monday night.
