The Hillcrest girls’ soccer team had an amazing season which culminated with a trip to the Section championship match where they lost to St. Cloud Cathedral, 3-0. The Comets celebrated their season with their awards night recently. Hannah Radzwill and Marie Elise Oy shared the team MVP honors.
Radzwill earned the golden gloves award for saving over 200 shots on goal and Oy got the golden boot award with 14 goals. Emma Boe received the assist award, recording 5 assists. Hanna Danielsen and Grace Geraghty received top defensive awards.
Three members of the team earned all-conference recognition, Radzwill, Oy and Lisa Blom.
“All 22 girls did great this year,” exclaimed Hillcrest Head Coach Mandi Smith. “We improved so much since our first game and I’m so proud. Making it to section finals was a true honor and so much fun.”
