The Ashby-Brandon-Evansville boys Cross Country team ran at the Park Region Conference meet Tuesday night in Menahga. A-B-E placed fourth with 123 points.  The race was won by Bertha-Hewitt with 36 points and Wadena-Deer Creek was second with 52.  Third place went to Ottertail Central with 59 points.

“It was a cold night for the team, but despite that, the team ran very well,” said A-B-E Head Coach Robert Bosma. “Logan Froemming was All-Conference (top 15) with a 9th place finish. At the beginning of the year, one of his goals was to finish top 10 in Conference and it was a huge night for him to do so. Ken Spielman was a little disappointed that he finished 21st as 16-20 are honorable mention. If he had another 50 meters, he probably would have caught the guy ahead of him, but he just ran out of room. It was great to see him finish strong and I hope it fuels some fire to run hard next week at Sections.  Going into the meet, I knew Bertha-Hewitt, WDC, and OTC would go top 3 in the conference, but it could have gone any way for the next three teams. Our boys stepped up and wanted to secure 4th and I'm excited about how they ran. Every race where we've seen Parkers Prairie and New York Mills, we are right ahead or behind them.”
