The Fergus Falls girls’ varsity cross country team placed fifth out of six teams at the Central Lakes Conference meet on Tuesday at Pebble Lake Golf Course. Cassie Wellman finished tenth, earning All-Conference honors. “She ran a great time on a tough course in field of talented athletes,” noted Head Coach Niki Welde of the Otters.
The Fergus Falls middle school girls’ team placed second overall, led by Violet McConn. All five middle school runners finished in the top 25. “This finish is a very exciting way to end the season,” added Welde. “They have a lot of success in their future.”
