Junior midfielder Lisa Blom scored the game winning goal seconds into the second ten-minute overtime period on Thursday to lift the Hillcrest girls’ soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Crookston in the quarterfinal round of the Section 8A playoffs in Fergus Falls.
Hillcrest will now face Fergus Falls in the semifinals on Saturday at the Otter Stadium Field. The Otters have won the previous two meetings between the teams with an 8-0 win on September 6 and a 3-0 win on October 6.
