Fergus Falls recorded a 3-0 win over Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in a girls’ soccer match on Thursday at Danielson Field on the Hillcrest campus. “The girls played well,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens. “We possessed the ball and we were looking to pass the ball up the field.”
Madi Budke scored from in tight for a 1-0 lead in the first half.
In the second half, Tyra Skjeret scored from just inside the 18 off the post and into the net for a 2-0 lead. Ella Starzl scored an almost identical goal from just inside the 18.
The Otters end the regular season with a 9-7 record. The playoffs begin next Thursday with seeding taking place this weekend.
Hillcrest closes out their regular season schedule with an 11:00am contest in Melrose on Saturday.
