Hillcrest Lutheran Academy recorded a 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 28-26) volleyball victory over Hancock on Thursday night as the Comets improved to 4-0 with the win on their home court.
“We got another nice win tonight,” exclaimed Head Coach Debi Foss.  “I’m proud of the girls for the way they played together.  The third set was tight to the end, but we stayed tough and finished the set with an ace serve by Maddie Ballweg.”

The Comets were led by Ballweg (5 serving points, 13 digs), Hope Adams (10 kills), Ella Knutson (6 kills, 3 digs), Emily Adams (11 kills, 4 digs), Madi Foss (7 kills, 5 serving points) and Ruby Peterson (32 set assists, 6 serving points, 13 digs).  Anna Brumfield recorded 23 serving points which included a 6-point run in the first set and a 12-point run in the second set.  She also had 11 digs and 6 kills.

The Comets will participate in the Pelican Rapids Tournament on Saturday and will play at Brandon-Evansville next Tuesday, before returning home to host Ashby on Thursday night.
