Ashby recorded a double header sweep of Hillcrest on Monday as the Arrows remained unbeaten in seven games on the young baseball season.  The Arrows shutout the Comets 10-0 behind Evan Paulson’s no-hitter and won 13-0 behind Easton Nelson in game two.

“Evan Paulson was brilliant on the hill,” noted Head Coach Jared Larson of Ashby.  “Easton Nelson made it two solid starting performances on the day as he earned his first varsity win.  I’m very proud of both of them.”

A six-run third inning got Ashby going offensively in game one.  Carson Spangler went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and also stole three bases.  Torin Olson contributed s run-scoring triple.  Paulson struck out ten and walked one in his five innings on the mound.

In the nightcap, Olson drove in four runs, going 3-for-4 at the plate, including a pair of triples.  Nelson (6IP, 3H, 0R, 8K) was helped along by the 12-hit attack by the Arrows, which included a home run by Paulson.
