The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team finished their regular season with a home win against Park Christian School, 54-32, on Thursday night. Jack Mekalson and Owen Buehler led the Battlers with 23 and 21 points, respectively. The Battlers took a 34-16 advantage at the half.
“We got off to a nice start with some strong shooting on the offensive side of the floor and some stingy defense,” stated Battle Lake Head Coach Randy Dorn. “We held Park Christian to 16 first half points. It’s great to see the boys come into a game with that type of effort and execution, especially this time of year.”
Battle Lake finishes their regular season with an overall record of 11-14 with a 9-12 records against Section 6A opponents and a 5-7 Little Eight Conference mark.
Section 6A seedings will be announced this weekend.
