The Underwood girls’ basketball team overcame a two-point halftime deficit on Friday night, outscoring New York Mills 34-16 in the second half and posting a 60-44 victory over the Eagles.

“We got off to a very slow start, trailing by as many as 10 points in the first half,” stated Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovland.  “Mentally, we were not ready to play.  Three games in three days is a drain, but I have to hand it to the girls as they dug deep and found something in the reserve tank.”

Liz Lukken (20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) and Mo Bugbee (19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) led the way for the Rockets.  Ezrah Baker had a solid floor game with 6 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.

Underwood ends their regular season with a 20-3 record.
