Brandon-Evansville held a 38-24 halftime lead against Rothsay on Thursday night, increased their lead to 20 points midway through the second half and came away with a 71-60 victory over the Tigers in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball contest.

“I thought we came out with good focus on both sides of the ball tonight,” commented B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  “We played poised basketball that helped us build a good lead in the second half.  We had multiple guys step up and play big minutes for us. Our rotation has ballooned to include 10 guys most nights and that helps us play more focused basketball.”

Dezmond White led the Chargers with 25 points and Titus Fuller added 17.  Tyler Bitzan and Riley Perleberg contributed 9 and 8 points, respectively.

Rothsay was led by Tanner Heier with 23 points and Chris Carrillo with 14.  Karson Jensen contributed 8.

Brandon-Evansville (12-10) has a Little Eight Conference game on Friday night in Evansville, against the Ashby Arrows.  The Chargers are on a 4 game winning streak.

Rothsay (5-18) has dropped eight in a row.  They will host Parkers Prairie on Friday in their final home game of the season.
