Lexi Bright (32 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 rebounds) and Claire Stark (23 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block) combined for 55 points to lead the West Central Area lady Knights to a convincing 85-35 win over the Battle Lake girls’ basketball team in a makeup game on Saturday night in Barrett.
Macy Grosz (10 points, 6 assists, 6 steals, 3 rebounds), Addison Staples (9 points, 5 assists, 4 steals, 3 rebounds), Jayden Styba (5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals), Elizabeth Rustan (4 points, 8 assists, 5 steals, 5 deflections, 3 rebounds) and Kaitlyn Hansen (4 assists) also contributed to the win. Madi Krusemark chipped in with 2 points, 2 rebounds, Halle Foslien had 2 rebounds and an assist, and Halle Grosz added a steal.
West Central Area (15-5) will play at Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday.
Battle Lake (15-7) will travel to play Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Tuesday night and will close out the regular season with a home game Friday against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy.
