Wheaton/Herman-Norcross recorded a 66-57 win over Battle Lake in high school boys’ basketball action on Thursday night.  The warriors made 41% of their shots and had a 40-30 advantage on the boards.

“This game was a grind,” said Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Head Coach Jordon Roos. “Nothing seemed to come easy for us. We were able to run the floor well and rebound which were the main things to help us get the win. Battle Lake made some tough shots and never let us settle in defensively throughout the game. We got just enough stops down the stretch and made our free throws to get the win.”

Clint Determan led the Warriors with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Dylan Bainbridge finished the night with 19 points, 56 rebounds, 6 assists and two steals.  Zach Braaten contributed 8 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (15-5) will host Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Friday night.

Battle Lake (9-11) will travel to Graceville on Tuesday to face CGB.  Their game scheduled for Friday night against Park Christian has been postponed.
