Otters Struggle Early in Loss at Brainerd

Fergus Falls struggled in the first half of their game at Brainerd on Tuesday night as they had 14 of their 20 turnovers in the first 18 minutes of play, falling behind 28-11 at halftime.  The Otters played a much better second half, hitting all 8 of their 3's in the final 18 minutes and playing even with the Warriors in the second half with each team scoring 44 as Brainerd recorded a 72-55 win.

Kaden Conklin scored a team high 20 points, all of them coming in the second half and 15 of them on 5 3-pointers.  He also had a team high 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.  Luke Newman added 14 points and 4 assists, and Henry Bethel added 10 points, all in the second half.

Cam Engblom registered a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.  He also distributed 4 assists.  John Pekarich had 16 points, making four 3's, and assisted on 4 baskets.  Eli Hoelz drilled four 3's and finished with 16 points, and Mitch Degen had 9 points and a team high 6 assists.  Brainerd made nine 3's on the night.

Fergus Falls (8-12) will travel to Sauk Rapids-Rice for another Central Lakes Conference game on Friday.
