The Lady Arrows hosted the Tri-State Tigers on Valentine's Day and Senior Night in Ashby. The Tigers led the Arrows at the half 46-19 and went on to win the game, 80-40.

“The Arrows knew they were going to have to be ready to play tough defense,” stated Head Coach Brenda Johnson. “The Tigers have two post players who are 6' and when they get the ball low block it was going to be tough to stop them and when our wings dug down on the posts they were able to pass the ball out to a player for an open outside shot. The Arrows battled with the Tigers, but were just not tall or quick enough to stop them in transition or the half-court game. After some adjustments at the half both offensively and defensively, we were able to get some defensive stops and better offensive looks. Despite the lopsided score we as coaches continue to see improvements in our young players.”

On her senior night Celi Nelson was the game's leading scorer with 28 points.  She grabbed 6 rebounds, had a block and a steal. “Celi is the only returning starter and senior on the team and has had a lot of responsibility put on her shoulders game after game,” said Coach Johnson. “She has been a great leader on and off the court.  It was so nice to recognize Celi for her years of dedication to Lady Arrow Basketball.

Chloe Finkelson had a big job tonight and was able to get inside position and take a charge, first one this season, grab 5 boards and score 2 points, BrookeLinn Finkelson played away from the basket tonight more than normal, but was able to grab 3 boards and block 4 shots. Marisa Ludwig continues to improve on defense with each game, and give us another scorer on the floor, she had 6 points, 2 boards and 3 steals. Ashley Paulson continues to work hard defensively and look for her shot, she had 3 points and 1 rebound. Ivy Aufdenkamp came off the bench and gave us some valuable minutes, Ivy grabbed 2 offensive boards. Lucy Ohren and Quynn Behrens both came off the bench tonight to give someone a break.  They are so important to our team each game.”

The Arrows are in action again on Thursday in a Little Eight Conference game against.the Brandon-Evansville Chargers in Ashby. This is also their rescheduled PINK OUT night.
