Brandon-Evansville and Parkers Prairie played overtime in their Little Eight Conference girls’ basketball game on Monday with the Chargers falling to the Panthers 59-55.

“We had our opportunities to win, but lost our composure late,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zachary Traphagen. “I thought we did a really poor job of handling their man to man pressure in the last 2 minutes of the game, and also had a couple bad defensive possessions late. There were a lot of positive takeaways from this game though, so we will learn from our late game mistakes, and carry over the positives from this game into tomorrow at Wheaton.”

The Chargers were led by Kaytlyn Pattrin (10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals), Kiley Lund (11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, Olivia Otto (9 points, 4 rebounds) and Kylee Dingwall (9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists).  Sophie Koep had a team high 4 assists.

Brandon-Evansville shot 44% (23-52) from the field.

The Chargers (9-11) will play at Wheaton on Tuesday, at Ashby on Thursday and at home against Park Christian on Friday.
