The Rothsay boys Basketball team traveled to Wheaton to take on Wheaton/Herman-Norcross in a 6A matchup on Monday night.  WHN came out hot from behind the arc, connecting on a school record 17 threes throughout the game and finishing with a 93-56 victory.

“We were hitting shots from the get go tonight and it was a lot of fun to watch,” commented Jordon Roos of Wheaton/Herman-Norcross. “Our defense gave up too many drives early and Rothsay was finishing well and was up 31-28 halfway through first half. Our defense stepped up and continued to score well which opened the game up.”

Clint Determan (25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals), Andrew Walker (24 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and Dylan Bainbridge (23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) led the Warriors in the victory.  Brayden Hofer added 9 points 5 assists.

The Warriors hit 51.5% of their field goal attempts and finished 17-for-33 from beyond the arc.  Rothsay made 44% of their shots.

Rothsay was led by Sam Danielson with 15 points. Tanner Heier and Carson Weiers each contributed 11.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (15-5) will host CGB on Friday.

Rothsay (5-15) is on the road to face Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday.
