Newman Scores Game High 25, but Otters Lose to Bemidji

Fergus Falls took an early 8-3 lead over Bemidji on Saturday afternoon, but the Lumberjacks came back to establish a 30-20 halftime lead over the Otters.  Fergus Falls cut the lead to 3 points at 42-39 late in the second half, however, a ten point run gave the Lumberjacks a 52-39 lead on the way to a 54-41 victory.

Luke Newman had a big game for the Otters, making 4 of their 6 3-pointers on the way to scoring a game high 25 points.  Kaden Conklin added 8 points and Elliot Pribbenow contributed 6.  Conklin led the team with 5 assists, while Newman had 2 assists and 2 steals.

Isaac Severts and Khai Branham finished with 17 points each to lead Bemidji.  Gavin Luksik chipped in with 9.

Fergus Falls had sixteen turnovers on the day.  The Otters will travel to Brainerd on Tuesday and Sauk Rapids-Rice on Friday.
