The Brandon/Evansville Boys basketball team traveled to Melrose Tuesday night and lost 76-59. “Melrose is a tall and athletic team who shot the ball well,” said Chargers Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “I thought we did a nice job competing for the entire game. Melrose hit 50% of their 3 point attempts and they seemed to be at big spots in the game.”

Titus Fuller (21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists), Dezmond White (14 points, 4 rebounds) and Tyler Bitzan (13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals) were all in double figures for Brandon-Evansville.  Micah Fuller added 8 points.

“There were 2 stretches in the game that hurt us,” added Coach Hintermeister. “Our transition defense was average at best and they took advantage of that. We look forward to two big section games later this week as we play Battle Lake on Friday and Hancock on Saturday.”
