The West Central Area Knights defense held the Parkers Prairie Panthers to 34% shooting (16-47) and forced 18 turnovers on their way to a 61-49 home win on Tuesday night in Barrett.

Ryder Staples recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Cole Anderson added 18 points to lead the Knights.  Rounding out the scoring for the Knights were Jacob Strunk with 8 points, Nasir Dotts 7, Bryce Kjesbo 7, Mitch Dewey 3, and Cam Anderson 2.

Strunk and Cam Anderson each had 4 steals while Dotts and Cole Anderson had 3 each. Strunk also led the team in assists with 4.

The Knights also made 34% from the field (23-68).  They knocked down 11-15 free throws and the Panthers made 14-19 from the line.

Knights Coach Kraig Hunter said, "We don't have the official team rebounding stats yet, but we did a much better job in that area tonight. Limiting them to one shot most possessions was a big key.  I think we got a bit tired and a bit sloppy on offense due to playing games on Friday and an exhausting game last night.  It will be good to get a couple of practices in now and sharpen things up on the offensive end."

Scoring for Parkers Prairie were Carter Thoennes with 15, Jake Wagner 11, Mason Ahrens 9, Cole Koep 9, and Dylan Diblitzen 5.
