Brandon-Evansville beat Underwood 66-37 in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball game on Friday night in Evansville.  Eleven different players scored for the Chargers, led by Titus Fuller with 18.  Dezmond White added 16 and Tyler Bitzan contributed a dozen.

“I thought we played hard and did some nice things early,” said B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  “Our starters came out with energy and did the little things well.  Underwood gets a lot of credit for working hard for all 36 minutes tonight.”

Underwood was led by freshmen Evan Lundgren and Owen Harig with 7 points each, followed by junior Cole Peterson with 6, freshman Kaleb Hammes with 5 and 8th grader Drew Evavold with 5.

“We really struggled to get anything going offensively tonight,” stated Underwood Head Coach Kellen Shebeck.  “Brandon-Evansville did a great job in their man-to-man defense and we just weren’t able to get many good looks to fall.  Our guys didn’t quit and continued to battle throughout.  I’m proud of their commitment to improve.”

Brandon-Evansville (7-8) will host Ortonville at 1:30pm Saturday.

Underwood is off until next Friday when they will host Ashby.
