The Yellowjackets scored just 11 first half points and found themselves down 10 going into the break, however, a 21-3 run to start the half erased the lead and eventually continued into a 44-6 run in helping the Yellowjackets maintain their spot on top of the Heart O'Lakes Conference.

The Yellowjackets had four players finish in double figures with Willow Thiel leading the way with 16 points. Olivia Pilgrim added 11 points, while Greta Hillukka and Sydney Anderson finished with 10 points each.

Morgan Korf paced the Vikings with 15 points. She scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half.  She also had 5 rebounds and a pair of steals.  Ellie Welch had a team high 8 rebounds and Sophie Paulson dished out 2 assists.

Perham head coach TJ Super said he was very proud of the team. He said the team brought great energy on the bench, great effort on the court and played with a purpose.

The defense limited Pelican Rapids to just one field goal in the final 17 minutes and 25 seconds of the game.

The victory improved the Yellowjackets to 14-4 overall and they won their sixth straight game overall. The Yellowjackets are now 8-0 in the HOL and 11-1 against Section 8AA opponents.
The Yellowjackets are back in action on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. when they take on Pequot Lakes at the Hive.

Pelican Rapids (12-6) will host Breckenridge in a makeup game at 1:30pm Saturday.
