Ashby traveled to Rothsay for a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball contest on Thursday night and the Arrows returned home with a solid 63-30 victory over the Tigers.

Jacob Cook recorded his eighth double-double of the season, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  Hunter Norby was the only other Arrow to reach double figures with 13.  Sam Sorenson and Torin Olson were close to netting double digits with 9 and 8 points, respectively.  Evan Paulson scored 5, Matson Hoff 4 and Brodie Ecker 2 to round out the scoring.

“Carson Spangler had a huge impact on the game at both ends of the floor,” said Head Coach John Holsten of Ashby.  “They boys took control early in the game with active hands and feed defensively and great ball movement on offense.”

Ashby (12-1, 5-0 LEC) takes an eight game winning streak into their home game with Battle Lake on Friday night.

Rothsay (4-10, 2-3 LEC) is at home against Underwood on Friday.
