The Hawley Nuggets had four players reach double digits on Thursday night as they defeated Fergus Falls 59-53 in a non-conference boys’ basketball contest.  Hawley was led by Brady Gratton and Sam Senske with 14 points each.  Brevin Stoa added a dozen and Hayden Grani had 11.

“We didn’t come out with a very strong first half today,” reported Hawley Head Coach Nathan Stoa. “After a couple halftime adjustments, the boys responded with maybe the strongest defensive half we’ve played yet this year. On the offensive side of the ball, Brady Gratton knocked down some huge shots for us. Hayden Grani’s senior leadership also really shone through tonight in a big way. This is a good win and a good step in the right direction for our squad.”

Kaden Conklin led the Otters with 22 points and 6 rebounds, and Luke Newman finished with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.  Jaydon Manteufel secured 6 boards and Elliot Pribbenow finished with 4 rebounds.

Fergus Falls (7-7) will host the Moorhead Spuds on Friday.

Hawley (9-3) will host East Grand Forks on Friday night.
