The Underwood girls’ basketball team had a commanding 39-11 lead at halftime and went on to record a 67-37 Little Eight Conference home victory over Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night.

The Rockets were led by Liz Lukken (18 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds), Ezrah Baker (14 points, 2 assists, 6 steals), Moe Bugbee (10 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds), Zoey Swanson (10 points), Kallyn Grove (6 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds), Mia Blaskowski (5 points, 6 rebounds) and Becca Johnson (4 assists).  Underwood shot 49% (29-59) from the floor.

“We really got off to a slow start, but we were able to get into a good flow by turning the defensive pressure up,” said Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovalnd.  “I thought Ezrah had her best all-around game.”

No Parkers Prairie stats were reported.

Underwood (12-2, 8-0 LEC) will play a road game against conference foe Brandon-Evansville on Friday night.

Parkers Prairie (6-6, 3-3 LEC) will host Battle Lake on Thursday and travel to Rothsay on Friday.
