Cardinals Remain Unbeaten in CLC with 69-40 Win Over Otters

The Alexandria Cardinals have only lost once in ten games this season, however, none of the losses have come against Central Lakes Conference opponents.  The Cards ran their CLC record to 6-0 with a 69-40 win over Fergus Falls on Thursday night.

Senior Kristen Hoskins reached 1,000 career points in the win, scoring 15 to lad Alexandria.  He also had a team high 4 assists.  He was joined in double figures by Carter Steffensmeier (13 points, 5 rebounds) and Grayson Grove (13 points, 6 rebounds).  Erik Hedstrom led Alexandria with 7 rebounds.  The Cardinals held a 35-26 edge on the boards.

Alexandria led 30-17 at the half and scored the first 9 points of the second half to take control of the game.  The Cards only had 11 turnovers, but Fergus Falls turned the ball over 23 times.

The Otters were led by Kaden Conklin's 17 points and 2 assists.  Luke Newman and Alex Jensen added 8 points each and Jack Ratz contributed 4 rebounds and a pair of assists.

Fergus Falls (5-5, 1-4 CLC) will play an 8:30pm game Saturday against Perham at The Hive in Perham.

Alexandria (9-1, 6-0 CLC) is set to travel to Hutchinson (8-4) for a one o'clock contest on Saturday.
