Tigers Win FF Holiday Tournament Behind 27 Points from Loge

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta won the boys’ championship at the Fergus Falls Holiday Classic on Wednesday, defeating the Otters 75-35.  The Tigers had a huge 47-14 lead at halftime and won the battle of the boards, 31-29.  They also forced 26 Fergus Falls turnovers in the game.

Jackson Loge scored a game high 27 points, snared 6 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.  Thomas Tiernan added 9 points and Cole Wente had 7 points and 4 assists.

Kaden Conklin led Fergus Falls with 12 points and 2 assists.  Hayden Knick added 6 points and 7 rebounds off the bench and Jaydon Manteufel finished with 5 points and 5 boards.

Conklin and Manteufel were named to the All-Tournament team along with Loge, Tiernan and Durgin Decker.

The Otters are 3-4.  They will host Sauk Rapids-Rice on Friday, January 7.

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (9-0) resumes play with a home game against Breckenridge on Tuesday, January 4.
