The Henning girls’ basketball team produced 38 points in the first half and went on to post a 59-35 win over Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday night.  Faith Fischer poured in 25 points and Lyvia Misegades had 20 to lead the Hornets.

“Tonight was a slow start for us and we never were able to climb out of that early hole we dug ourselves,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zachary Traphagen. “We were really just a step slow offensively, but a lot of credit goes to Henning and how they played defensively. The second half we came out playing with great energy and cut the lead down to 12 or 14, but the Fischer girl knocked down some big threes to answer our run. We now get a few days to rest up before we head down to Lakeview for a Holiday tournament.”

Kylee Dingwall paced the Chargers with 10 points.  EmmaLee Brethorst and Olivia Otto added six points each.

Henning (5-2) will play at Wadena-Deer Creek on Tuesday, January 4.
