The Rockets placed four players in double figures, led by Liz Lukken (16 points, 3 assists). Mo Bugbee, Mia Blaskowski and Zoey Swanson each had 12 points. Blaskowski had a team high 9 rebounds and added 3 assists. Swanson had 7 boards and Bugbee contributed 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
“The Rockets have a very talented and athletic group of young ladies,” said Ashby Head Coach Brenda Johnson. “They are well coached and have a very solid inside and outside game. We struggled in the first half getting anything going on offense as the Rockets defense and ball pressure was a lot for our young girls to handle. We settled down in the second half and were able to put some points on the board.”
Celi Nelson led six different scorers for Ashby with 14 points.
The Arrows next game is on Friday against CGB, while Underwood takes their perfect 5-0 record to Breckenridge on Thursday night.
