The M State Men’s Golf team holds a six shot lead over Southwest Tech after day one of the Region XIII National Qualifier at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The Spartans shot a team score of 317 on Monday and Southwest Tech came in with a 323.
Hunter Burnside and Joel Quam led M State with scores of 72 and 77, respectively, while Grant Inniger fired an 82, Mikey Vall an 86 and Sam Western an 88.
Audra Ewan in in strong contention to qualify for the National Women’s Tournament after shooting a 95 on Monday.
The final round of the tournament is on Tuesday.
