The M State Men’s Golf team won the Region XIII National Qualifier with a two day total of 636 over runner-up Southwest Tech from Fennimore, Wisconsin with a 650.  The event was held at Prairie Du Chien Country Club in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin.  The win qualifies the Spartans for the NJCAA Division III National Championship.  It is the eleventh consecutive year the Spartans have qualified, the longest running streak in Division III golf.  In addition, Audra Ewan became the first Spartan women’s golfer to qualify for Nationals 10 years, earning an individual qualification to the National Tournament with a two day total of 188 (95-93).

The M State Men’s Golf team holds a six shot lead over Southwest Tech after day one of the Region XIII National Qualifier at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.  The Spartans shot a team score of 317 on Monday and Southwest Tech came in with a 323.

Ewan Places Second at Lady Jay Invite

Spartan golfer Audra Ewan finished as runner-up at the Lady Jay Invite on Wednesday at Worthington Golf Course.  Ewan shot a round of 100, placing her five strokes ahead of Jenna Stetz who fired a 105 and took third for Alexandria Tech.  Medalist honors went to Abby Hamman of Alex Tech with a blistering 79.
