Hillcrest scored first about 25 minutes into the first half on a goal by junior forward Sandra Haugland.

Melrose responded quickly in the 2nd half with a goal by Molly Kraemer, assisted by Eleanor Schwieters, and then took the lead with about 16 minutes left in the 2nd half on a goal Schwieters.  The Comets tied the game on a penalty kick by junior Midfielder, Ingrid Kjdergaard with 2:30 remaining on the clock.

Hillcrest broke the tie with 40 seconds left in the 2nd overtime on a goal by junior forward Maria Mostad, assisted by junior midfielder Emma Straune.
