The Hillcrest-Underwood girls’ soccer team finished last season with a 5-6 record.  Head Coach Jeremy Mueller is in his seventh year at the helm and will be assisted by Mandi Smith and Jeremy Forrester.  “Our team was comprised of volleyball players who came out for soccer because their season was delayed,” recalled Coach Mueller.  “Despite very little experience, we still won half of our games!”

The Comets lost midfielders Emma Abrahamsen and Mackenzie Foss, defensive player Cassandra Twedt and goalkeeper Emma Marfell to graduation.

Seniors Annie Claney (Midfield), Alivia Holmquist (Forward), Annie Albjerg (Midfield), Emmy Albjerg (Midfield), Kaley Quam (Defense) and Hazel Bring (Defense) all return.

Coach Mueller will be looking to juniors Ingrid Kjdergaard (Defense), Maria Mostad (Midfield), Hannah Radzwill (Goalkeeper) and Emma Straune (Midfield) to fill varsity roles in 2021.

“We have a lot of inexperience, but some very good talent,” noted Mueller.  “We never know what to expect, but we are excited to see what this season holds!  Fergus Falls will likely be the toughest opponent in Section 8A.”
