Rod Jensen has had a lot of on field successes during his 21 years of coaching the Hillcrest boys’ soccer team, but his off field accomplishments with his varied combinations of international student athletes has perhaps been the most satisfying of all.  With Pelican Rapids forming their own team a few years ago, the dynamics of the program at Hillcrest changed dramatically.  The 0-11 record last year is not typical of a Hillcrest team, but Coach Jensen said, “A lot of very young players go varsity experience and although our record did not show it, we kept our heads high and had fun!”
