Alexandria shot a team score of 329 to win the Central Lakes Conference girls’ golf meet at Rich Spring on Monday. Second place went to Brainerd with a 355. Fergus Falls was third with a 370. They were followed by Sartell-St. Stephen at 378, Willmar at 398, Bemidji at 402, St. Cloud Tech at 419 and Rocori at 459.
Alexandria sophomore Hannah Boraas was the medalist with a 77 and runner-up honors went to Sophia Karsnia of Brainerd with a 78. Cora Larson of Alexandria and Lauren Rebrovich of the Cardinals were next with scores of 82 and 83, respectively.
The Otters were led by Ellia Soydara with a 90 and Ana Jyrkas with a 91. Ella Mayer shot a 94, Annie Mayer came in with a 95 and Lexi Metcalf finished with a 107.
“Another 3rd place finish is nice to have,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens. “Girls competed hard. The scores were a bit higher for all the individuals and teams who competed today. Ella had a solid score. She is close to breaking through and when she does it’s going to be awesome. As a team when the course is playing hard we need to be able to shoot 360 or better.”
