Tysdal Claims Medalist Honors, Leads OTC Girls to Win at Balmoral

Ady Tysdal fired an 89 to edge out Celi Nelson (90) for medalist honors on Thursday at the Quad County girls’ golf meet held at Balmoral.  Ottertail Central won the event with a score of 326, seven strokes in front of Ashby (333).  Hillcrest was third with a 353 and West Central Area came in fourth with a score of 403.

The other medal winners were Audra Ewan of Hillcrest in third place with a 96, Ashley Hill of Ashby fourth with a 110, Kimberly Keefe of Pillager fifth with a 110 and Madi Ness of OTC sixth with a 114.

Makena Kenyon (123) rounded out the Ottertail Central scores, while Lilly Evavold (133) and Emma Erickson (160) completed the Ashby scoring.  Bri Lang (123) and Wendy Mcarton (134) were the final two Hillcrest golfers.

“We had two girls play in their first varsity meet today, Amber Frigaard (118) and Maddie Hoen (123),” reported Underwood Head Coach Chuck Ross.  “Both did well today considering that we have not been outside for any extended periods of time.  Amber placed tied for 7th and Maddie was not far behind.”

West Central Area was led by a 118 from Lexi Hunter.  Other scores for the lady Knights were a 135 from Joelle Toso, a 150 from Jenna Jonsrud and a 179 from Miley Loe.

Lily Murphy of Border West came in with a 140.
