The Hancock Owls posted a 51-34 win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Friday night in a Pheasant Conference girls’ basketball game in Hancock. The Owls shot 38% (16-42) from the field and made 41% (7-17) of their three-pointers. They also hit 12-of-14 from the free throw line. The Warriors shot just 33% (12-36) on the night and were a dismal 2-for-14 from beyond the arc.
Rylee Hanson and Carlee Hanson led the Owls with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Carlee also had 5 assists and 4 steals. Tori Pahl had a team high 12 rebounds, 7 of them coming on the offensive boards.
Hancock has won their first eleven games of the season. They will play at Melrose on Monday night.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (7-4) had their three game winning streak come to an end. They will play at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls on Tuesday night.
