“We shot really well the first half and went a little cold the second half,” said Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “Even though we weren’t shooting great in the second half, every shot we took was a good open look for us.”
The Comets were led by Madi Ballweg (14 points, 5 rebounds), Kenzie Foss (12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists), Madi Foss (9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists), Regan Wiertzema (6 points, 4 rebounds) and Ella Knutson (2 points, 7 rebounds).
“Our ball movement against their 2/3 zone was the best it’s been all year,” noted Coach Clark. “Madi Foss did a really nice job making sure the ball was getting reversed while looking for her shot at the same time. Madi Ballweg had a nice offensive game for us. She’s becoming more confident with every game and I’m excited to watch her continue to grow as a player.”
Hillcrest (2-8) will host Ortonville on Friday night.
Parkers Prairie (9-1) will entertain Underwood next Tuesday.
