Owls Blister the Nets on the Way to a 77-29 Win at Ortonville

The Hancock girls’ basketball team shot 60% from the field, made 46.7% (7-15) of their 3’s and hit 16-of-20 (80%) free throws on Friday night as they coasted to a 77-29 win in Ortonville.  The Owls led 49-11 at the half as they took control of the game early.

Carlee Hanson led the way with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting.  She also had a team high 6 steals and 3 assists.  Brooke Versteeg and Kaitlyn Staples added 8 points each and Staples came up with 4 steals.  Jenna Kannegiesser and Misti Zempel contributed 3 assists apiece. Versteeg and Kannegiesser led the Owls with 3 rebounds each.

Hancock stays undefeated at 5-0 as they prepare to host Upsala on Tuesday night.

Ortonville (0-5) will host Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Monday.
