“Lauren is one of two returning seniors to our team,” commented Head Girls Basketball Coach Trevor Keller.  “She provided balanced scoring and rebounding for us last year and we are looking for Lauren to provide some offensive scoring power this season.”

Lauren will be attending Lake Area Technical Institute where she will major in Business.

Volleyball Coach Beki Hughes said, “Lauren is a passionate volleyball player.  She went above and beyond for her team this year.  She always kept a positive attitude and player her heart out.”

“Being in sports has impacted my life incredibly,” acknowledged Hicks.  “Sports gave me my closest friendships, my healthiest version of myself, and pure joy.  With sports being postponed, my grades and my motivations in general has gone down completely.  I used to be a straight ‘A’ student and I’m finding myself getting lower grades now.  Sports is genuinely a huge part of my life.”

Lauren has this advice for underclassmen, “The years fly by faster than you think.  Take it all in, day by day.  Live out each moment and cherish it.  It will be gone before you know it.”
