The Hancock boys’ basketball team shot 49% (25-51) from the field in their 67-60 win over New York Mills on Saturday, ending the Eagles 12 game winning streak in the process. Matt Thompson had a huge day, scoring 36 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to lead the Owls who are now 10-3.
The Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team suffered a 56-51 Little Eight Conference defeat to Parkers Prairie on Saturday. “We missed shots from everywhere,” said B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We struggled with looks that we like to get, so that’s unfortunate. Parkers played had and knocked down some big shots at key times in the game.”
The Wheaton/Herman-Norcross boys’ basketball team overcame a 19-18 halftime deficit on the way to a 45-38 win over the Hancock Owls on Friday night. Dylan Bainbridge and Clint Determan each had 17 points to lead the Warriors.
