The Fergus Falls girls basketball team posted their twentieth win of the season when they handed St. Cloud Tech an 87-27 defeat in the final girls basketball game to be played in the Tech gym. St. Cloud Tech will open a new school next year. The Otters led 55-23 at the half and only allowed four second half points on a two-point field goal and two free throws.
Fergus Falls played all seventeen of their players with 12 of them contributing to the scoring. They hit 61% of their field goal attempts. Ellie Colbeck (17 points, 3 assists, 3 steals), Tori Ratz (16 points, 4 assists) and Sabrina Fronning (10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals) were all in double digits for the Otters. Lily Pearson (9 points, 5 rebounds), Sam Evavold (7 points, 4 assists) and Gretchen Davis (7 points, 5 rebounds) also had productive nights.
Fergus Falls will end their regular season with a home makeup game Saturday against Sauk Rapids-Rice.
The Otter JV team won 52-9 to improve their record to 20-3. They were led by Abby Tysdal and Anna Anderson with 10 points each.
In the B game Fergus Falls won 63-21, improving their record to 20-2. Ainsley Hansen (14), Katie Strommen (14) and Hannah Polejewski (10) were all in double digits.
