Frazee hit 11 3’s in the game, led by sophomore Jack Courneya with 23 points, including five 3’s. Cole Fleisher and Broden Fleisher finished with 18 and 17 points, respectively.
Leaders for Battle Lake were Riley Leabo with 25 and Nick VanErp with 17. Brennan Amundson had 12, Brady Scholten 11 and Eli
Carlson had 10.
“We started about as bad as you can and watched Frazee hit seven first half three-pointers,” said Head Coach CJ Peeters of the Battlers. “We dug a hole but fought our way back and had all that we could handle. Frazee got up the floor and scored very quickly and we had to adjust. Our guys never stopped working. We tightened up our offense and defense and continued to grind. At the end we did just enough to get a tough road win.”
The Battlers will host New York Mills on Tuesday, February 26 and Bertha-Hewitt on Friday, March 1.
