Tonsfeldt Pours in 32 to Lead Trojans Past Panthers

The Barnesville boys basketball team held Park Rapids Area to under 50 points on Saturday as the Trojans recorded a 70-46 victory over the Panthers at the Fargo Civic Center. Park Rapids shot just 36% (18-49) on the day and Barnesville nailed 50% (22-44) of their field goal attempts. The Trojans also outscored the Panthers 19-7 on the free throw line.

 

Adam Tonsfeldt had a huge day for the Trojans scoring 32 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, dishing out 2 assists and coming up with 3 steals. Kellen Hinsz was also in double figures with 14 points. Sam Askegaard and Hunter Zenzen led the rebounding effort with 7 and 6, respectively and Jason Henrickson and Brooks Martinson each had 3 assists. Zenzen also had 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.

Gabriel Bagstad led Park Rapids Area with 16 points, while Nicholas Michaelsonfinished with 12 points.

Barnesville is now 11-5 and the Trojans are on a three game winning streak as they head to Perham on Tuesday night.
