Barnesville Boys Win at Home

The Barnesville boys basketball team went on a 19-8 run prior to halftime, taking a 32-21 lead at the break, and went on to defeat Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal by the score of 53-49 on Tuesday night in Barnesville.

Hunter Zenzen celebrated his 17th birthday by scoring a team high 17 points and also pulled down 4 rebounds.  Adam Tonsfeldt finished with 11 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, and Kellen Hinsz had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.  Barnesville shot 3% (19-51) from the floor and outscored Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal 12-4 on the free throw line.  Kaden Zenzen and Grant Inniger each had 5 rebounds.

Barnesville had a 44-34 lead in the second half, however, NCE/UH cut the lead to 44-42 before the Trojans scored seven straight to get the lead back up to nine points.

The Trojans (10-5) will face Park Rapids Area at the Fargo Civic Center on Saturday.
