The Little Falls Flyers scored three power play goals, including two during a five minute major penalty in the second period, as they defeated the Fergus Falls Otters 5-0 in the Otters final home game on Tuesday night.

Gunnar Gustafson scored a rebound goal off a shot by Matt Filippi at 5:24 of the first period to give Little Falls a 1-0 lead.  Robby Kuchiniski-Helgeson also earned an assist on the goal.

A goal by Gabe Hirsch at 4:43 of the second period made the score 2-0.  Josh Jennings and Lucas Rekstad assisted on the goal.  When Declan Young was given a five minute major penalty for charging when he collided with Little Falls goalie Dane Couture as Couture left his net to play the puck, Little Falls capitalized by scoring twice during the extended man advantage.  Gustafson scored from Filippi and Rekstad at 15:08 and Joe Majerle scored from Hirsch 37 seconds later as the Flyers took a 4-0 lead after two periods.

A power play goal by Jennings at 5:35 of the third period was assisted by Filippi and Rekstad.

Little Falls had 34 shots on goal and Couture stopped all 29 Otter shots.

Fergus Falls (7-13-2) will travel to Wadena on Friday night to face the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines.
