The Vikings took a commanding 55-27 lead at the half as they placed five players in double figures. McHale Korf also had 16 points, Hayden Christenson had 11, and both Eli Sytsma and Logan Fahje had 10. Crookston was led by Caden Osborn who had 23 points.
"We did a nice job of setting the tone early in this game as our guys were able to push the pace on offense and get easy looks at the basket in transition in the first half," head coach John Gullingsrud commented. "It was also nice to see us share the ball as well as we did tonight as our guys were willing to make the extra pass which led to open shots for their teammates. We have been at our best this season when we take the unselfish approach and move the ball offensively."
Crookston fell to 6-12 overall while Pelican Rapids improved their record to 7-11
