The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team recorded a non-conference victory over the Frazee Hornets 89-62 on Tuesday night.  The home team Arrows, who made a season high 33 shots on 20 assists, enjoyed a 49-27 lead at halftime.

For the first time this season all three Arrow seniors had double digit point totals.  Scott Johnson was the game's leading scorer with 24 points.  Christian Norbyadded 21 and Dakota Ecker finished with 12 points.  Sophomore post player Jaden Norby had another double-double netting 18 points and gathering 17 rebounds.  Also entering the scoring column were Noah Johnson and Hunter Norby with 5 points apiece, Miles Hoff made an old-fashioned three point play, and Carter Spangler added a free throw.  The Arrows shot 53% (33/62) from the field and 80% (16/20) from the line.

Jack Courneya was the leading scorer for the Hornets with 22 points including five 3 pointers.

“Frazee has several nice young players,” said Head Coach John Holsten of Ashby.  “They're going to keep getting better and better. Our kids shot well and shared the ball.  We played with good energy on defense.  Hunter Norby gave us a spark off the bench on both ends of the floor.”

With the win the Arrows improve their season record to 9-3.  Ashby hosts the Battlers of Battle Lake Friday.
