Fergus Falls Boys Hockey Team Loses to Hutchinson in OT

The Fergus Falls boys hockey team put 35 shots on goal Saturday afternoon, compared to 29 shots for Hutchinson, however, the Otters were beaten by the Tigers 7-6 in overtime. 

Hutchinson got off to a 3-0 lead with Hayden Jensen scoring just nineteen seconds into the game. Assists were awarded to Lane Glaser and Austin Jozwick. A power play goal by Tristan Hoppe at 4:51 was assisted by Glaser. Hoppe’s goal at 14:39, from Jensen and Jozwick made it a 3-0 game.

The Otters tied the game at 6:30 on a power play goal by Kaden Peterson, assisted by Declan Young. 

Ian Richards gave the Otters a 5-4 when Declan Young assisted on his goal at 6:54 of the third Isaac Young and Isaac Ahlgren at 10:14. Logan Holtz scored from

Hoppe at 12:07 and Jozwick’s goal from Jensen at 16:26 tied the game at 6-6. 

Glaser completed his hat trick at 3:30 of overtime, giving Hutchinson the win. Jensen and Jozwick
assisted on the game winner. 

Glaser (3 goals, 2 assists) and Jensen (1 goal, 4 assists) had five point nights for the Tigers. 

DeBrito had a hat trick for Fergus Falls and Declan Young (1 goal, 3 assists) finished with a four point night. 

Fergus Falls (5-9-2) will host Prairie Center in their next game on Tuesday night.
